There is no way to magically regrow your hair overnight, there’s just not. Even after a hair transplant surgery it can take a year to see the full results. People’s perception of time is very off when it comes to hair loss management.
This is an important topic that I feel has not been discussed enough. One of the main problem areas is in dietary supplements. First I want to talk about non-FDA approved hair loss supplements. Due to the fact that I am in the process of creating my own hair supplement, I have been doing quite extensive research on other supplements in the market. From reading about these supplements and subsequently reviews on them, I have noticed a pattern. There are a lot of people out there who are losing their hair and buying these products expecting them to be a magical cure that will give them a full head of hair in a week. Sorry people it just doesn’t work like that.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am a firm believer that hair supplements are a powerful tool and if used correctly can most definitely help you get your hair back, but you MUST be realistic. The first consideration is the effectiveness of hair supplements. They ARE NOT a cure all solution, despite many companies marketing it that way, they just aren’t. 9 times out of 10 if the only thing that you do to try and stop hair loss is take a supplement you will experience little to no regrowth. What most hair supplements actually are capable of doing is creating a very good environment for new hair to grow. By this I mean that with the correct combination of ingredients you can drastically improve the condition of the hair that you still have, and for any hair that grows in by eliminating dandruff, increasing circulation, and yes, blocking DHT. If you use a hair loss supplement in conjunction with other available treatments, it will almost surely improve the efficacy of them.
Going back to an earlier point, it is very unfortunate that so many people fall into the traps set by these other supplement companies. If you look up “hair loss supplement” on Amazon, most of them will claim to have everything you need to cure hair loss. Unfortunately, the people behind the marketing of these products are very good at grabbing people’s attention and luring them into a false sense of security thinking that it will be the miracle solution. This is why when you read through the reviews you can quite easily find a lot of people who claim the supplement “doesn’t work” or they “aren’t seeing results.” I’ll say it again, YOU NEED TO USE OTHER TREATMENTS ALONGSIDE THEM. If people knew what they were buying and how to actually use it, you would almost surely see less disappointed people in the review section, and see more happy, healthy people who are actually seeing results up top.
The second thing that you really have to be aware of is the time it takes to regrow hair. I cant tell you how many reviews I have read on Amazon saying something to the effect of “it has been 3 MONTHS and I still have no regrowth, WASTE OF MONEY!” SO many people out there are under the impression that they are going to get their hair back in a month, two months, three months, STOP. I will tell you right now it will take at least 6 months to see even minor improvements for most people. Should this deter you? No. Even some of the most effective FDA approved hair loss treatments frequently remind consumers that 6 months is the threshold for tangible results.
Hair takes a long time to fall out, it has even been shown that you have to lose 50% of hair in an area for hair loss to even be visible! That can take years! So why do people think that they will just be able to get it all back in a matter of months? They are uneducated. The average person does not want to do all of the research it really takes to understand hair loss, luckily I have. I want people to understand what a hair loss supplement can realistically do, and what else people need to be doing. This is what I am going to try to do with the Prepare Your Hair supplement. I want people to buy my product and get exactly what they expect out of it. Again, I have done extensive research about what ingredients work in a hair supplement, and which ones don’t. The formula I have come up with is the perfect blend on what you do not get in a normal diet that you need. The effects of a good hair supplement should be that it increases circulation to the scalp, clears dandruff and relieves itchy/dry scalp, nourishes existing hair follicles, and protects hair. Blocking DHT is good too, but not necessary as you should be taking Finasteride alongside a hair supplement because it is FDA approved for blocking DHT and will be much more effective at that. The purpose of a hair supplement is to do all of the things a DHT blocker can’t do.
This brings me to my last point. Your hair needs more than just supplements and DHT blockers. DO NOT WASTE MONEY on a hair supplement if you cannot afford to use it alongside other treatments. This should always include minoxidil and derma rolling, and if possible I HIGHLY recommend a laser helmet (specifically iRestore). If you use all of these tools you will be targeting hair loss from all possible angles and you will get the best results possible.
If you are looking for an HONEST hair supplement that does NOT deceive you into buying it, but rather helps you better understand your hair loss and how to help it, please consider the Prepare Your Hair Powerful Hair Formula.
